The one thing i love to do when i visit Bangkok city coming from the country town of Khon Kaen which is in the north-eastern of Thailand , is to stay in a nice hotel and make myself feel that i am on a overseas trip in a beautiful five star resort and the Chatrium Hotel Riverside in Bangkok certainly made me feel that way.
Well i would actually like to think that i could have luxury holidays like this but i was actually meeting up with my boyfriend who was having work related meetings in this hotel over the weekend so he invited me to join him which i was very thrilled and excited about not having seen him for a while.
The Chatrium Hotel Riverside stands on the waterfront of the mighty Chao Phraya River and is a multiple award winning 5 Star Hotel and right behind the hotel it has another two residential towers that you can buy into and maybe own a top floor penthouse condo well i will keep dreaming about that option. The ground gardens are very pretty and welcoming with the bamboo pathways and all the cute bronze animals around the garden.
After my boyfriend finished his meeting we decided to go for a walk to see what would be of interest in the area we walked around to the other side of the hotel and found this little pathway that we didn't know where it was going to lead us but here we found the old Thai resident houses sitting on this prime real estate that has been pasted down by generations nestled amongst these towering hotels and condominiums it's just amazing to see this in a big city but it is very common to see.
I actually love to see this sort of living and nice to not have them teared down by all these hungry developers it's just to many memories and history to do away with.
The pathway lead us to the main road which looked a little like Spanish , French colony in the days there were a lot of British and Chinese people living in this area so the area looks a mix of both colonies very fascinating and colorful to see.
We had been walking for about two hours and even though there was so much more to see in this classic area it was just to hot and we needed to head back to the hotel and cool of in the pool and have a couple of refreshing cocktails.
I really love my country Thailand i never get bored walking around admiring all the history and interacting with the friendly people and of coarse enjoying all our so delicious foods and if wasn't so hot today i would of kept walking but it was time to get into that cool hotel pool i hope you all had a great Sunday walk.

The nice hotels in Bangkok are comparative cheaper to those in America and Europe so you can consider yourself luck. 😎
