Mountain bike California, Rancho San Vicente

in beautifulsunday •  7 years ago

Hello all, here is my mtb ride from this morning. The shot below is Calero reservoir in South San Jose. It was a cool 56* F and clear morning.

The ride was almost 21 miles and 2.1k feet of climbing.

GPS data is from a Garmin Vivoactive HR and uploaded to Strava.

Santa Clara (the county that the south bay is in) recently opened up a new park next to Calero reservoir named Rancho San Vicente open space preserve. I wanted to ride it and see the terrain, trail and the surrounding nature. It is nice and green at the moment.

The trail winds it's way through trees and gets narrower.

This is the top looking towards San Jose

In the middle of this shot, you can see a bit of blue which is Calero reservoir which I passed earlier in the ride.

Looking south towards Morgan Hill / Gilroy (this shot got blown out)

Lots of wild flowers and poppy's in full bloom.

No car ride to the market but I guess the nice weather makes it good for the ride to a nice wild flowers field

April is starting off nice here in CA. I did pass a small market driving back, but didn't stop. Needed to get home to play the steemit poker league...

Wow.

It really looks like an awesome mtb track.

But for myself I prefer staying at the roads.

wow..so nice place dear thanks for sharing
