Is there any girl that’s never mashed a banana and used it as a face mask? For me, it definitely wasn’t just a teenage phase – I still use it all the time and it suits my skin perfectly.
There’s a good reason why DIY banana face masks are so popular. Banana’s thick, creamy texture gives a great consistency to the final products. Plus, banana is so rich in moisture, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, it has a lot to offer to any skin type.
This face mask detoxifies your skin and neutralize the negative effects of pollution, chemicals and drying conditions. It also hydrates the skin, makes it plump and supple, evens out the complexion and adds some youthful glow to your skin.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 small piece of banana
- 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder
First, mash the banana piece as smooth as you can. Add aloe vera gel and mix. Then add the matcha powder and mix everything well together. If your mask is too runny, add some more matcha tea, or even better – add some oat flour.
Apply the mask to a clean face. Leave it on for 15 – 20 minutes. Rinse off well and apply a moisturizer. You can use this mask 1 – 2 times a week.
