 Beauty on a Budget

Wouldn’t it be nice to have endless supplies of cash to splurge on all the make up that takes your fancy but the reality is that for many of us this is just not possible. Yes we would all like to shower in Jo Malone and apply Tom Ford lippies but is it necessary? Clare with the Hair decided to investigate, is it actually possible to create amazing make up looks using Beauty on a Budget products? We used products from Penney’s / Primark PS…Pro range, Sleek Make Up and Wet n Wild.Foundation – Clare with the Hair favorite Beauty on a Budget Foundation: is from Penney’s and it is their new Ps…Pro Longwear Mineralized Foundation. What we loved about this was:

  • This foundation offers full coverage yet it feels really light on your skin
  • The packaging- the bottle is a semi matte glass bottle that fits nicely in your hand and the pump dispenses the correct amount for a full night time foundation look, 1/2 dispense for daytime
  • It contains vitimin A and E
  • and is SPF 15
  • Cost just €6

Contour – Lets say a big hi five to contour because since its introduction make up has become exceptional, Contour here, highlight there. It is just fabulous and Clare with the Hair fell head over heels in love with this Beauty on a Budget Cream Contour Kit from Sleek Make up.What we loved about this was:

  • The texture, these cream colors are velvet smooth and blend seamlessly with your foundation
  • The range of color, with two highlighters and four contouring colors that all work together
  • This contour pallet is exceptional quality for its price point.
  • Cost €13.99

Highlighter – My oh my we can all shine in just the right places with the right highlighter and Clare with the Hair just adores these little Beauty on a Budgethighlighters from Wet n Wild Geometric Highlighter powder. What we loved about this was:

  • The price – these are just €3.99
  • The pink shade in the Dessert Exploration is the perfect pink highlighter shade
  • The gold shade in the Sun Ceremony is the perfect gold highlighter color
  • They are limited edition
  • Application is easy and staying power is good

Eyeshadow – I have purchased more eye-shadow than I will ever admit out loud but even I needed to get my hands on the Sleek i-divine Mineral based eyeshadow palette in Storm. What we loved about this was:

  • The range of color
  • The packaging is “sleek” and expensive looking
  • The large mirror is perfect for close up application
  • The pigment payoff is top notch
  • Cost €11.49
  • Easy to apply
  • Long wearing
  • No color transfer (you hooded eye ladies know what I mean)
  • Wearable day and evening colors

Lipstick – Clare with the Hair struggled to choose just one Beauty on a Budgetlipstick so I am sharing two with you, first and only because it is sitting closest to me is again from Penney’s Ps…Pro with their Rick Color Lipstick in shade 03Boudoir Pink. What we loved about this was:

  • Its texture is divine
  • Long lasting
  • Color in bullet is the same as on the lips and pigment is strong
  • Contains vitamin E to hydrate and condition your lips
  • Cost €3.50
  • Packaging is fab, its shiny, sliver and has a cool press button to open operation system

Second lipstick we loved and had to include in our Beauty on a Budget article is this super lipstick and gloss combined from Sleek Make up Lip VIP in shade Private Booth 1002.What we loved about this was:

  • Current trend is for matte lipsticks which I find sometimes drying this is a semi matte lipstick that never feels drying
  • Having the lipstick and gloss in one bullet
  • The pigment payoff is on point
  • Smells amazing
  • Fabulous packaging
  • Cost €7.49

Mascara – There are many make up items ladies will forgo for one more snooze button time in bed and for people who choose not to wear make up on a daily basis they will still tell you that they apply a little mascara and they are grand! Clare with the Hair loves this Beauty on a Budget from Ps…Pro Mascara. What we loved about this was:
