মস্তকে হিমালয়ের শুভ্রতাজ,কটিবন্ধে সুন্দরবনের বনানী,সারা গায়ে রূপোলি নদীর শাড়ি আর পায়ে যার উত্তাল ঊর্মিনূপুর,সে আমাদের প্রকৃতিকন্যা বাংলাদেশ।সাদা,সবুজ,আর নীলের আড়ম্বরে বাংলার প্রকৃতি যেমন বর্ণিল তেমনি শতপুষ্পের সৌগন্ধে তার দেহ সৌরভময়।ধনধান্য-পুষ্পভরা বাংলাদেশ বিশ্বভূগোলে সৌন্দর্য-সম্পদে অপরূপ।রুপের পসরা সাজিয়ে রূপের হাটে তার গৌরবময় অবস্থান।শ্যামল মাটির দূর্বাদল থেকে শুরু করে আকাশের নীলিমা পর্যন্ত সর্বত্রই এর ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে আছে অবারিত ঐশ্বর্য।এখানকার প্রতিটি অকিঞ্চিৎকর উপাদানের মধ্যেও লগ্ন হয়ে আছে দৃষ্টিনন্দন আভিজাত্য;যা না দেখলে বিশ্বাস করা কঠিন।গিরিদরী,মাঠ-প্রান্তর আর অরণ্য-পর্বতে সৌন্দর্যের এই হাতছানি প্রতি যুগে মুগ্ধ করেছে দেশি বিদেশি মানুষকে,তাদের প্রাণে জাগিয়ে দিয়েছে আনন্দের হিল্লোল্ম।তাইতো সৌন্দর্যমুগ্ধ কবির সাথে আমরাও গেয়ে উঠি-
"আমার সোনার বাংলা,আমি তোমায় ভালবাসি"
