Babylon 5 was a groundbreaking sci-fi television series an episode of which won the Hugo award for best dramatic presentation both in 1996 and 1997

Babylon 5 was created by J. Michael Straczynski as a five-year story arc with the plot already outlined from the start in 1993. The series also won several other awards. Babylon 5 was set in a five-year period starting 2258. Humans were one space-faring civilization among many capable of faster-than-light travel. There were also civilizations at a vastly higher level that would rarely show themselves. Babylon 5 was built after a devastating war between humans and another civilization to serve as a place for commerce, diplomacy and peaceful co-existence of civilizations to prevent another war.

The pilot film of Babylon 5 was aired in 1993 and the series ran full five seasons ending in 1998 as planned. It received a cult following. It was intended to be a series with a five-year story arc. B5 dealt with serious themes including war vs. peace, religion and authoritarianism vs. liberty. Its main or recurring characters included no children or youth and the target audience was adults. What I remember being captivating about B5 was, in addition to the great CGI for the time, the grand story arc, mystery and drama.

Here's a series of scenes from different episodes in the middle of the story. The two first clips form a logical whole.

haha I remember this series, they show just after school but I didn't care to much until the shadows came out although I always missed the first 12 to 15 minutes walking home, to this day I still think the white stars fleet is a beast, but at that time I was a teenager I never finished seeing it or followed the track when they stopped showing new chapters, we didn't have torrent world at that time, haha this it was nostalgic one.

I have never even heard of this. I wasn't an adult in the 90s so that probably explains why

If you like scifi you should definitely get a hold of it and watch it all.

I remember these. May look them up again. Thanks for reminding me.

Interesting review.Intigare a little more of this series since it is my specialty 😅.Although the series are a little difficult for me since they are longer and I do not have enough resources of connection to internet (the video format is heavier) .But I will have it in my notes. I thank you for your contribution!

I did not see it, but It must have been a great science fiction movie or fantasy to receive the award in honor of Hugo Gernsback

For the year of 1993, I was 19 years old and worked as an internal messenger in the financial tower of the BBVA Provincial de Venezuela bank. And I could not see that series.

Heard about it so many times but never really made the effort to watch it. Same with the first few star wars movies. I think I just missed the craze of space age sci-fi and then never really got into it.

Baby lon, I think I've heard something like that. It's probably as good as you say it is.

Babylin 5.it is a great masterpiece..

What did you like about it?
