I see a tendency to write almost technical-only posts lately. If I have an excuse, it's called HF20. But that excuse will run out soon enough and I'll have to write more posts that anyone can relate to, even when they don't really care about the way Steem blockchain works.
But until then, here's another one.
It's a pretty technical tool, but very easy to use, called Beempy.com created by @holger80, which has just been created to cover a need for more information about resource credits and the costs associated with various operations.
Nothing fancy at all so far from the UI standpoint, but useful.
You can find some general information about your account, including the cost break-down for different operations and the number of them you can do with your available RCs.
It's a bit more than you can find from Steemd (I mean the exact number), plus the cost for custom_json operations (for example, resteems are custom_json operations).
More than that, you can find the evolution in time of the price in RCs for each type of operation: comments, votes, tranfers, custom_jsons. Here's an example for comments:
And finally, for those really interested about the inner-workings of the RC system, there is a evolution in time of the availability of various types of resources which are taken into account when calculating the price of an operation with the RC system.
Hopefully you'll find this tool useful. I am mostly interested in those evolutions in time of the costs of operations and availability of resources. So far so good! The costs are dropping, except for comments which are relatively stable for the last two days.
