Agreed! I think the brewer has to be careful to balance the smoked malt with other malts and hops to get the right flavor. Too much smoked malt can be like drinking an ash slurry. They nailed it with this one. There aren't a lot of this style commercially available, so it was neat that this advent calendar had one, and a good one at that.
