🍺 The 2nd thing you should do in Cologne is to taste Kölsch, its local beer, that comes in small glasses (200ml, called “stange glasses”) - is very refreshing, tastes a little bit sweet, a little bit bitter, hoppy, soft citrus and herbs.
It looks like a lager – a light golden low-carbonated liquid with a small foamy head, but it’s a top-fermented beer, brewed according to the German Purity Law. ABV: 4.8%.
Very drinkable, especially when it’s warm outside.
