Beer Tasting - India Pale Ale ('Nova Runda C4' by Nova Runda Brewery)

That’s what I did while meeting @carebbear, a friendly neighbourhood crypto expert. I wish him good tidings here on Steemit so follow him if you take the time to read this. Smart guy, likes the platform but realises how hard it is to make a breakthrough!

I set up the meeting in a Pub, where else? Business and pleasure at the same time for the win. I took the liberty to taste another marvel. This time one of my favourite breweries - Nova Runda.

One of their most celebrated beers is C4 IPA. I quote the team in translation to English:

it’s about C4 explosive… Our IPA also symbolises an explosion of 4 ‘C’ hops (Chinook, Cascade, Citra, Centennial).

Beer menu on 24/8/2017 at Fakin Craft Pub. Kabinet is next on my list. Haven’t had a Porter in a while.

Country	Zagreb, Croatia
Alcohol	6.3%

Appearance	Medium amber to orange color. Cloudy. Slightly yellowish head. Lasts. The explosive logo is a bomb!
Aroma	Floral. Grapefruit. Even pineapple. Behind it another layer or bitter hoppy notes. Pine. Complex aroma. Hard to pinpoint.
Taste	Much blander that I thought. Quite deep taste that defies easy decision. Low bitter, low sweet. Bland orange, grassy.
Palate	Medium to full body, oily mouthful. Goes down smooth. Leaves a dampened bitter finish. This is a very good beer.

Overall	Always a joy to have this one. I do tend to avoid it purely due to the price tag but I have an odd one here and there. Nova Runda keeps surprising and I’m looking forward to the future. This really set high standards.
