I reviewed a Deshutes Obsidian Stout a while ago, and this offering from the same brewery is also quite good.

It's a well-balanced brew without any real shortcomings. It's rich and smooth, not harsh. 30 IBU isn't too bitter with the malt, and 5.2 ABV isn't weak and watery or overly alcoholic. If you don't drink dark beer, this is a good introduction to porters.

I don't have a beer stein for glamor shots, so here's a picture of my bottle. Yay. I recommend this for sure, regardless of how you consume your beer.
