Dry Skies Brut IPA: An Amateurish Beer ReviewsteemCreated with Sketch.

American IPAs tend to produce one of two aromas upon opening the bottle: pine or citrus. This is the latter. It's also not very bitter at only 35 IBU. It is reasonably strong though at 6.8% ABV. In fact, it's almost like an upgraded version of a cheap shandy. But that's a bit of an insult, really.

Dry Skies captures those fleeting clear days here in the Pacific Northwest. It's crisp, with a spark of citrus hops, each popping bubble a celebration that lifts your spirit.

Well, my spirit isn't lifted much, but it is a delightfully refreshing beverage. Ninkasi tends to make a decent beer. This isn't too malty, too sweet, too bitter, or too carbonated. The balance somehow seems a bit off my personal preferences, but it's by no means a bad brew. View the website here.

This beer is a seasonal release, so supplies are limited, and it may not be available for long, or ever again. And now this bottle is gone. One less in the wild.
