I would like to introduce one of my passions, the beer. Actually my biggest hobby is making beer. I invite you to comment, blog on the subject to increase the content in #beer #homebrew #paleale for example .... The tag #steempub is more relates to beers that is on the market, so it would be innapropriate to clog up this tag for home brewed beers topic.

A little bit of history about this drink

The history of beer begins with the first writings going back to the Mesopotamian era, more than 4,000 years before Christ. Beer arrives in Europe around 5000 - 4800 BC following two currents: the Danubian current (Eastern Europe) and the Mediterranean current (south of France). At the time, we did not talk about beer, but about cervoise. This term refers to the legend that Ceres, the goddess of harvests and cereals, would have discovered the drink and would have given it to the peoples whose lands were not suitable for growing the vine.

Then this magnificent drink, if it was drunk at that time, is not so complicated to do. In fact it can be done very well on the stove. For small quantities, and to learn it’s the best. It is less sad to drain a small amount of beer than a large amount. Moreover, in my opinion, it is easier to make great #homebrew #beer than to make great wine. For the wine it is rather difficult to get a hold of the same raw material as the great vineyard. For #beer, we have access to the same grains as all the brewers. In addition, the choice of grain and hops is huge, there is new hop on the market every year not to mention that it is quite simple to make it grow at home.

So this is just an introduction to joining other passionate about developing content on the subject. By then, have a homebrew !!!

Cheers!!!

Please don't feel like using the #steempub tag is clogging the feed up. We like al things alcohol! Home brewing and home wine making are the foundations of the industry. Many of the new craft recipes that breweries put out are from homebrew experiments, and people like you that decide to build a business based on their beer. Feel free to use it, it a great thing!

I'm brewing some as well. My main incentive was avvoiding the tax on the beer in Norway as one beer here (0,33liters) is at the cheapest 2 dollars, while they cost about 40 cents in a country as close as Denmark.

Brewing myself I get down to about 50 cents for half a liter.

Still a 6 hours + to mash, boil, clean and everything else.... add the time to it and it's not that wort it. On my cheapest recipe i'm at about 1.10$ 1.15$ CAD per Liter. But there's a way to make a second batch, growing yeast.... The quality of beer it's possible to make at home is amazing!!!

So the time and labour it takes is paid by the quality ;)

One should consider that making beer can be a fun process too. It's like creating art...except you can drink it when you're done. It's not all about the money! (But I do like to find ways to be efficient in my brewing too, to save time and money!)

I didn't know that I discovered plenty of new things thanks to your post thanks a lot for sharing and keep on posting ;)

Hello there! Here is my one gallon single hop beer making of :).comment_xwpewqI2iCjmfOX1KmWB0PEufy90VnQJ.jpg

👍 let me know how it turn out!! If it turn out bad, it might be you cap... you need to let the O2 get out without getting in the jar, otherwise you run over oxidation... i should look like this

I have this kind of cap, but I wanted to try "easiest-fastest-cheapest" way of brewing. It was my first not from the brewkit beer. I did some mistakes but I am planning another try.

I see this trend of more and more people brewing beer at home. I am wondering how the end result tastes like? Is it similar as beer you can buy in store or are we speaking about totally different taste? Cheers!

Well it depend, it will taste similar to microbrewer beer, or legendary artisanal beer. But won't look like an Heneiken or a corona for exemple... But making a clone could be possible, but what's the point?

I agree with you and tnx to your post you got me interested to try microbrewer beer and see if it suits me. Who knows maybe I get a new hobby :)

Send me a bottle to try! Here in Texas we are blessed with hundreds of local craft beers of which I'm on a mission to try them all :-)

Legally down here, I can't event transport my own in my car unless I own a brewing permit 😕

...didn't think about that! Stupid rules and regulations take the fun out of everything!

Always great to see another homebrewer on steemit. Brew on!

Nice article! I will love to make beers at home. I think it will be a great hobby.
