ABQ Brew Reviews: Marble Brewing's Desert Fog

in beer •  6 years ago

Another rockstar from New Mexico's local craft beer scene, Desert Fog is an IPA must-taste from one of Albuquerque's formative breweries.

Marble Brewing crafted this American style IPA to be reminiscent of the desert's dewy mornings. The first thing that hits you when you open the can is the heavenly smell of grapefruit and pineapple, both which lend a delightful, topical tartness to the beer.

The can itself is a thing of beauty. The imagery perfectly depicts a hazy morning on the mesa, strewn with gold and maroon.

But it's the taste of this beer that is truly spectacular. Even those who are not fond of IPAs may enjoy this refreshing brew. Light bodied, fruity, and smooth, this beer is the cure for what ails you on a hot day, or any day, really. As of right now, Desert Fog is my favorite IPA available from the local breweries.

But, it's only seasonal, so get yourself to Albuquerque and stock up while you can.

I always like how light and refreshing IPA's look when they are poured into a glass and then I taste them and the only flavor I get is pine needles. I really do want to like them because they are all the rage right now, but I just can't seem to get over that hump. This one might be interesting to try given the citrus tones. I have also heard that milk infused IPA's aren't as bad either...

Damn I wish it could be available in my country too! Rather I should pack my bags and plan a trip to Albuquerque, Isn't?
Anyways, keep flourishing.

Con esta recomendación ya se me hizo agua la boca, @pinkspectre. Una buena cerveza fría es un manjar de dioses ;) Realmente la lata es una obra de arte, me encantó el diseño, cuánta creatividad y belleza. ¡Salud!

Oh awesome! I will be visiting NM again in Mid May. Will have to try this beer. Sounds perfect for an outdoor show in NM. Thank you!

Yay, enjoy your time in NM! Mid-May is perfect here, weather-wise.
And there is a lot of good beer in these parts.

Wow. That looks good. Nice and light beer for a warm climate. I may be moving to the desert soon, gotta get some good brews.

Sounds excellent! I love that color. Will have to try this one sometime

Sounds like a delicious beer. Grapefruit and pineapple must come from the hops. I love the smells of IPA's. So fragrant

I'm not typically a huge fan of IPAs but this one sounds pretty good. I like the name as well. Seems fitting for that style of beer with it's natural cloudiness
