Who am I?
Well, I'm a 32 year old dude from the lovely country of Belgium. I'm a geek so I love all sorts of things from comics, to games to movies..you name it. I'm also an amateur brewer (how could you not in a beer country like Belgium). I have been doing this for a couple of years now and it is one of my biggest passions. Outside of brewing my own beers, I'm also avidly into tasting what the rest of the world has to offer.
What am I doing on Steemit?
Well, one of the biggest dreams of any homebrewer is to be able to make it into a job and have an actual working brewery. Not that being on Steemit is going to help me a lot with that, but it offers me just another extra platform on which I can share my vision and hopefully gain a nice little following of fans and people with interest. You can call it brand establishment if you want.
That's not my primary reason though, in the first place I'm here to share my love for beer, I'll be talking about my brews and how I go about creating them, but I won't shy away from talking about other beers from around the world that I like and drink. So you can probably expect beer reviews as well.

I would like to stress that I am currently still just a homebrewery, as such, I can not and will not sell any beers that I might make. If you want a taste, you'll have to wait for the real thing if my brewery ever succeeds or you'll need to stop by my home and we can have a chat while we open one ;)
Anyways, that's about it for my first post. Looking forward to my adventure on Steemit :)

Well, hello! I'm the other Belgian @AKSounder referred to. Depending on where you live, I might take you up on the offer of chatting over a beer. ;-) I'm a homebrewer, but instead of beer, I brew mead. I've put all yeasty projects on hold until we move into and renovate our new house, but can't wait to get back into it.

Tiny led me to try my first mead; a pretty simple recipe that's currently bubbling away in fermentation. It's called Joe's Ancient Orange Mead, and as a brewer I thought it seemed odd at first glance (mainly the yeast selection) but I'm giving it a shot.

Welcome to Steemit! I'll look forward to your brewing process posts. I'm hoping you'll take photos of your ingredients, discuss the style, your barley choices, photo the process and follow up with tasting notes.
My main focus here isn't beer, but as you already know I'm quite the beer nut and am deep in a daily series on the subject.
