Trivia Night

The holiday season gives me the opportunity to get together with hometown friends. We needed to at a brewery a few towns over for some trivia and good beer!

My first beer was the 97.1 the Ticket Hazy Pale Ale by Ellison Brewery. They brewed this beer for the good people at 97.1, The Ticket. The crush-able double dry hopped hazy pale ale is brewed with Mosaic and Citra hops for the perfect balance of flavor, hoppiness, and drink-ability. for real this is chugable ass beer.

I followed that with the BBA Imperial Gravity Shift a BBA which is heavily steeped with Ecuadorian Coco nibs and Tahitian Vanilla beans. This stout drinks thick and smooth with a hint of roast. Chocolate notes hide the high ABV well and makes this beer very easy to drink, so be wary. It was a great contrast to my first beer.

The last beer was the double dry hopped (DDH) Citra Evolution. What a beer to end the night on. This Citra hopped beer blasts out of the glass with tropical fruit (yum), tangerine, and passion fruit. Smooth bitterness is complemented by more fruit flavors and a pillowy mouthfeel. It won't disappoint.

We ended up taking second on the first game of trivia and fourth in the second game. Not bad for a three person team. Not to mention after three beers I was feeling pretty good.
