I randomly saw a new beer item at the market yesterday...A new beer made as a collaboration between 2 craft (ish) breweries: Weihenstephaner and Sierra Nevada. Called "Braupakt", its a cool picture of the Sierra Nevada Grizzly Bear carrying 2 Weihenstephaner kegs. According to the bottle, Weihenstephaner is doing the bottling in Germany.
At 6%, it feels like a strong Oktoberfest wheat beer. Its got some chunkiness to it; i'm not chugging this beer down, its too flavorful. Hops used are Hallentauer tradition, Amarillo, and Chinook.
It says it was brewed under the German purity law, like all German beers. I like that Sierra Nevada seems to be promoting the craftiness of brews, even though they are beraly, now, a craft brewery themselves, but at least they know who they are and try to promote the experimentation we are getting so used to with the smaller breweries. (they look like they are, anyway. Maybe they are just trying to cash in, but I appreciate the effort anyway.). They were also the ones sponsoring the craft beer fest in Long Beach last year (my post about it [here] )(https://steemit.com/beersaturday/@rmorel/summer-beer-camp-2017) , so kudos to them again.
I had to pour another glass, while writing this.
