I've never attended a high school football game in my life.

How un-American is that? My graduating class played in the state championship, but I still wasn't there. The Dreadnaughts of Lakeland parked a tractor trailer behind the stadium and blasted the horn every time they scored. Someone had to tell me about it the next day.

So my fourteen-year old is way ahead of the curve. She's a member of chorus, and her group did not have to pay the $7 admission, because they sang the national anthem. I just got home from the game. She's a smart cookie.
