Paul, the preacher: Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses

The first missionary journey of Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles, began with a call from the Holy Spirit to go on a mission and bring the message of the word to the children of Abraham and to all who fear God with their hearts. And so it was that Paul or Saul, the preacher par excellence was called by God: "While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ´Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them´" Acts 13:2.
And Paul left Antioch, the city where the first followers of Jesus received the name of Christians, and he went to Cyprus, then he went to the city of Perga until he reached Antioch of Pisidia, in the Anatolian peninsula.
And it was in this city where Paul, full of the Holy Spirit and of the gift of wisdom, made one of his most important speeches on faith in a synagogue.
Paul began by explaining the life of Jesus within God's plan of salvation, from the exodus of the nation of Israel in Egypt, and the fulfillment of the promise of God in the land of Canaan; and how the coming of Jesus was the consequence of the pact made with King David, a faithful man devoted to God like Abraham and Moses.
And Paul explained that Jesus was condemned and crucified on the cross, and on the third day he rose from the dead, and that by faith in him we are freed from the slavery of sin and justified: "Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses" Acts 13:38-39.
Many were those who with this speech accepted the faith and the gift of eternal life, and it was thus that the faith spread in the region, due to the determination and perseverance of Paul.
