Canadian Grip Relaxes Thursday
Showers Saturday Dry Sunday
Up until now it has been a large complex upper air low in Southeastern Canada that has kept us in instability clouds. We have a lot of cloud cover around this evening however at least we don't see much in the way of shower activity this evening which means the trend to a more stable atmosphere continues. We should see skies partially clear out tonight in most areas with lows in the 50s with some 40s in the coolest spots.
EASTERN SATELLITE
REGIONAL RADAR
Regional and local radars are quiet tonight with only a few isolated showers showing up in areas well to the north and well to the south us. No weather issues are indicated as far as showers are concerned through Friday.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
Thursday we will have more sun around and fewer clouds and that should help take temperatures up into the 70s in most areas except the shore. Friday is our warm day with sunshine and clouds and highs reach the upper 70s and lower 80s. There air is super dry right now so I don't see it getting humid as the warm up gets underway.
As far as the weekend is concerned, it looks like we could see some showers Saturday and it looks like they could come in early in the day and then shift southward late in the afternoon. This makes things a bit dicey for the Belmont Stakes as far as the weather at post time and the track conditions. Sunday as the front sinks southward weather conditions should improve with decreasing clouds and increasing amounts of sunshine with a northeast wind and temperatures in the 60s to near 70.
