Bengaluru old name was benda-kaal-uru ( city of boiled beans) and some say its named after Bengalval–Uru ( city of guards in Kannada).
Bengaluru was built by Nadaprabhu Hiriya Kempe Gowda in 1537. To honour Kempe Gowda Bus stop, metro station and airport is called by his name.
It is a third most populated city in India and ranked four in Indian GDP cities with 80$ billion.
Bengaluru is home for ISRO, HAL, Wipro, ISRO, Indian Institute of Science, Bharat Electronics, Flipkart, Mu Sigma etc.

Bengaluru is called by nicknames Silicon city, Garden city, Startup city etc.
