بنفيكا يستنكر اتهامات الفساد

وصف بنفيكا، الذي اتهمه مدعون برتغاليون بالفساد هذا الأسبوع، المزاعم بأن لا أساس لها، وتعهد النادي بالعمل على تبرئة ساحته.

واتهم مدعون برتغاليون النادي بانتهاك سرية سجلات قضائية، وإذا أدين في المحكمة، فإن قانون العقوبات البرتغالي ينص على أنه يمكن إيقاف النادي لفترة تتراوح بين ستة أشهر وثلاث سنوات.

وربما يفقد النادي أيضا الدعم الحكومي، إضافة لاحتمال مواجهة عقوبات أخرى.

وقرأ لويس فيليبي فييرا رئيس النادي بيانا على الصحفيين أمس الأربعاء، قال فيه إن بنفيكا سيدافع عن سمعته "بكل قوة" وإن الاتهامات الواردة "لا تتضمن حقيقة واحدة ولا حتى أدلة من شأنها إدانة بنفيكا".

وقال "الاتهامات لا تزعزع يقيننا الكامل في شرعية أفعال وتصرفات بنفيكا، سواء في هذه القضية أو غيرها" مضيفا أن "المؤسسات القانونية ستبرئ ساحة النادي".

وورد اسم فييرا كمشتبه به بشكل رسمي في تحقيق فساد في وقت سابق هذا العام، لكن هذه القضية لا علاقة لها بالنادي.

واتهم ممثلو الإدعاء يوم الثلاثاء، بنفيكا، والمستشار القانوني للنادي واثنين من الموظفين القضائيين بقائمة طويلة من الجرائم تتضمن الفساد و"انتهاك سرية العدالة".

ويُزعم أن النادي تآمر لاختراق نظام السجلات الإلكترونية القضائية والحصول على معلومات عن تحقيقات مختلفة بشأن بنفيكا ومنافسين مثل سبورتنج لشبونة وبورتو، على مدار العامين الماضيين.

Benfica denounces corruption charges

Benfica, accused by Portuguese prosecutors of corruption this week, described the allegations as baseless and the club vowed to make his case clear.

Portuguese prosecutors have accused the club of violating the confidentiality of judicial records. If convicted in court, the Portuguese Penal Code provides that the club can be suspended for between six months and three years.

The club may also lose government support, as well as the possibility of facing further sanctions.
Club president Luis Felipe Vieira read a statement to reporters on Wednesday, saying Benfica would defend his reputation "with full force" and that the charges contained "do not contain one fact or even evidence that would condemn Benfica."

"The accusations do not shake our full confidence in the legitimacy of Benfica's actions and actions, whether in this or that case," he said. "Legal institutions will open the club."

Vieira was officially named as a corruption suspect earlier this year, but the case has nothing to do with the club.
