Did your parents train you with morning devotion?
You have not seen anything. My mum will start preaching by saying, "Let's just read two verses. Open your bible."
We will read the whole Psalms, Nehemiah, Habbakuk and 1 Corinthians.
After a whileeeee, she'll say, "Stand up let's pray". We will stand up. She will preach for another seventeen hours.

Me I will just rest my head on the cushion. I had a favourite spot. Once I stay there, I will go off. Somehow, as the devotion raps up, something will wake me.. Or a sibling will tap me.
But one day! The devil struck.
As we stood up for the second round of preaching as usual, I rested my head and enjoyed the bliss of the illegal sleep. The only sleep that doesn't come with peace of mind.
You won't believe what happened.
When I raised my head, I noticed the atmosphere was unusually quiet. The morning sun was fully set. I looked at the time.. My heart skipped. I caught it back. Morning devotion had ended like two hours before. My siblings had even bathed and gone to school.
My dad sat just opposite me, staring at me with disappointment. The look on his face meant so many things. I didnt want to start a fire. I just greeted him and quietly disappeared inside.
Today's devotion marked 7years since dad told me "don't let that thing use you again."
