This piece was inspired by a contest and fits into my new series of figures of Spirit and Myth. The original contest was held by @sethlinson and I was happy to use the guidelines of Nature as a means to create something that also fits into my current story-line with my work.
I am truly loving using Steemit contests weekly to hone my time line and continue to add to my body of Fine Art works. I have found that choosing two a week allows me time to plan, sketch, do a watercolour study, and forces me to finish the piece to almost it's final look within that week. It is a wonderful boon, as it gives me a strict timeline and also allows me to share my process with other artists and art lovers on Steemit.

Thank you, it has inspired me to do a series of female figures as spirts/myth I am working on a version of Leda and the Swan, but set it aside, as this week I am doing two more large pieces for contests here on Steemit. One is based on technology and the other is using an image given and altering it and they both are going to have the female form in. Thank you for liking it, it was a joy to make. I might still add a bit to this piece.
