Here is a portrait i lit using a bare bulb flash shot through a parabolic reflector, i used reflectors to kind of bounce and shape the light into the right angle and shape also. Usually i would reach straight for my octabox or beauty dish but i wanted to try out something a bit different in terms of lighting the portrait. The reason i'm not left with a dark shadow by using a harsh light source is because i've boxed the model in from all angles with reflectors which just gave a fill overall.
