The question at hand is – who watches the watchers and who shoots headshots for photographers? Mikey Colon does!
I’m currently working on a project for the photographers at Illusion Photo Studio located in the Bronx NYC and they asked me to take their pictures. And to say it felt weird would be an understatement!
I’m trying to think of a good analogy but it feels awkward when you know the other person is scrutinizing your every move. But no matter what your situation – you can always learn from other people. They showed me a few of their techniques and I showed them the Mikey Colon way of shooting portraits.
To me photography is all about having fun and showing my clients a good time. And part of having fun is cracking jokes and getting people to do silly stunts. If you can get people to laugh (instead of saying cheese) you’ll be able to capture genuine expressions!

I love doing photos for other photographers it's been lots of fun. I've done a good amount of weddings for some pretty great photographers.
p.s. I'm back from my trip, looks like you've been doing well and posting up a storm.

It can be a bit intimidating shooting other pros. But at least they understand the process and they also have their own creative ideas.
Welcome back! How was the Caribbean? I'm sure it was hard to go back home to reality.
And yes I've been posting up a storm - updating the blog at least 3 times a day and trying to connect with like minded Steemians.

Busy.org makes it easy when I know I won't have my laptop and/or internet as you can save drafts then upload them from your phone.
This week will be a bit different content wise as I'll be filming me taking / making photographs. Since my nephew is in town he can watch my back and help me film some videos. Stay tuned...
