In some places of the World the indigenous people are still clinging to their lifestyle and traditions, however it might be affected by the march of the civilization. Sometimes they are make living by selling handicrafts to outsiders and tourists, just like these guys that I spotted on the streets of Misahuallí, in Napo province of Ecuador.

The truth is that there are things or situations that are not understood ... brcause at this moment, after more than 500 years of the discovery of America by Colón, the original inhabitants of the American Continent (our indigenous race), particularly what it refers to the South American and Central American countries, they have to live under these deplorable conditions.
In my country (Venezuela), we see them from asking for money in the street to smuggling in the border, and the truth is that there has been no government that truly gives its fair place and attention to the descendants of our ancestors.
Yes, it is extremely important that they keep intact all their traditions, which are ours, but that no exempts government authorities from taking actions that improve their living conditions.
"Our governments" what they do is just talk bullshits and do nothing. That which produces is "arrechera" (fury).
Greetings.
