My whole family has spent so much more time online this year I've found myself in need for another computer at my house and I love the convenience and portability that this Mini PC offers. It is very light weight and small enough to fit in my hand. I'm impressed that such a small computer can pack so much processing power! It comes with mounting hardware to mount to the back of a monitor or it can sit on the desk. It can be used with a projector, monitor, TV, printer or other similar devices.Even though I'm not an electronic's expert by any means this Mini PC is very powerful and works incredibly well. It has an expandable 8GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB M.2 NVME SSD ROM, the CPU is: Intel Coffee Lake i5-8259U and the Processor Frequency is: 2.3GHz - 3.8GHz. Storage Expansion is Supported M.2 NVMe SSD up to 2TB.It has Built-in fans to keep it from overheating and lots of ports are available.MINI PC comes with Windows 10 pro already installed. It's processing speed is efficient enough for gaming and I haven't had any issues streaming videos. It can be hooked up to WIFI just like a laptop. It has lots of available ports:1 x DC Jack4 x USB3.01 x RJ454 x HDMI1 x Audio Jack (HP&MIC)1 x Type-C1 x TF cardreaderOverall this mini PC not only meets but totally exceeded my expectations and is very convenient and easy to use.

I am a telecommuter and I need to keep my computer turned on for 24 hours and have an automatic startup function. I chose it because its CPU is very powerful and very energy efficient. When I received it, I was very surprised because it was smaller than I expected. I think there may be a problem with its heat dissipation. I used it for about 3 weeks and I became like it. It only takes about 8 seconds for me to turn it on. The CPU temperature is about 30-70 degrees. The sound of its cooling fan is very small, almost inaudible. I can fix it behind my monitor. According to Amazon's page, it probably has less than 57W of energy consumption. It already comes with win 10 PRO system, you need to buy office software.

I now have 3 of these, best units i now have. fast, great operations, very small, quite, and reliable, low cost. a lot better than my HP Beats laptop, HP desktop, simple to use as a portable unit as well. Wi-Fi 6, BT, gigabit Ethernet. great video great sound. powerful. 0 worst to 10 best,,,,,, I give it 20.

I use a KVM switch to hop between four computers and when I plugged in this little guy I had no trouble making it fit in. In fact I used it to replace an aging laptop with identical power and ancient connectors, limited screen, limited battery etc. It certainly is a great help to working at home with a large setup.

If you're looking for a low priced, basic CPU unit with plenty of power, and a good selection of inputs for external devices, check this out. Also, it's very simple to set up - it took me less than a half hour to finish the setup and start using the machine and I'm definitely not a nerd. Incredibly compact, nearly silent even when the fan is running, it has exceeded my expectations.

Got this basically as a Zoom, TV, small games computer to plug into the big screen. I wouldn't use it for any serious gaming but basic multiplayer games like stick fight are perfect. Also works well for netflix, youtube etc. Plug in a webcam and it's a solid zoom PC for meetings and calls. It's obviously not an amazingly powerful desktop but it's just fine for light to medium use and is definitely more convenient than sacrificing a laptop to be permanently at the TV.

This is a zippy little box. I got it so my wife could handle household accounting and surf the web. Probably overkill for that, but if you think long term (10 Years) coupled with how easy this box is to backup and upgrade, it's kind of a no brainer. For you classic pc gamers that download stuff from Steam, this machine is perfectly fine. For high fps gaming, this is not for you.

just works as advertised. had a question - got a helpful reply in 6 hours. added a 2TB HD and the 3 required mounting screws were included with the PC.

A NUC was not my first choice for a new computer - I wanted a laptop. After a while I realized that the laptop I was replacing had not left my desk in over 4 years! As I began looking at desktop options, I learned that I could get a lot more bang for my buck because a desktop (or NUC) did not have a monitor or keyboard. This machine at under $600 is far more powerful than laptops I was pricing at around $1,000. As for the NUC, its size means I get back my desk as a workspace. In fact, it came with a standard mount that allowed me to attach it to the back of monitor - another bonus. If you don't travel with your machine - and most of us seem to travel with phones instead - then a NUC is a fantastic option. Side benefit - my techie friend who is a programmer running his own software company was envious of this purchase!!

Easy to set up. Small and adequate for business use. Not a power pc, but it doesn't need to be. Hardwire to ethernet and the speed almost rivals my super laptop with I7 chip and 20GB Ram.

Glad, I read the reviews where someone mentioned that they needed to borrow a wired keyboard to get things going. Luckily I saved an old wired keyboard and was able to get things set up. Overall, very happy to have gotten this little pc power block. I have a tiny desk with tons to do and I was happy to see that I can mount it on the back of my LG monitor. Works brilliantly without taking any room.

cool little computer. i use it for streaming games online. no issues and its fairly quick

I was about to return this item due to M.2 PCIe didn't work. I used my SK Hynix PC601 M.2 ssd which is working fine with NUC7i5 but it didn't work with NUC8i5. To make sure if it is damaged or defected, I I tried with other m.2 SSDs(from Intel and Crucial) and they worked fine. I've ordered new one but from WD(hot deal).I'm currently using it with 180GB M.2. it's very quiet and fast enough to play some games like minecraft java edition. I'm using it with Ubuntu installed.

This review is for the BOXNUC8i5BEH1, the "tall" i5 "kit" that does not include RAM or HDD. (Note that i3, i5, and i7 reviews are unhelpfully combined here, unless you know how to filter the reviews.)First things first: this is a great piece of hardware. I have owned several mini-PCs including GIgabyte's last generation and an Atom-based Asus. I've built dozens of PCs over the years.I use this NUC as a media center (HTPC) and so far it is *completely* silent and emits no discernible heat. Considering that my Gigabyte would occasionally sound like a hair dryer and my fanless Atom ran hot, I am very happy with this. I'm not gaming on this unit but for casual use I am very pleased with the thermal profile. On the other hand. The out-of-box experience on this kit is the absolute worst I have ever seen, anywhere. The instructions/documentation is essentially non-existent. The assembly instructions omit many important details, e.g. the direction that components are inserted, etc.And the "support" on Intel's website it literally non-existent. I had to jump through many hoops to get drivers for this thing, since the support pages are only for the non-kit versions and Intel doesn't make an effort to clarify any of this. It wasn't even easy to find a BIOS manual or get into the BIOS configuration. I think most anyone with less experience building PCs would have given up.In short, Intel's hardware team is doing great work with this model. But their support, driver and documentation team are letting the side down.

This is a nice unit with good CPU.I recently bought 2 units, one from Amazon and one from B&H.I installed Windows 10 1809 version and found Windows 10 frequently freeze on both machines.I found the problem is a wireless network connection. The freezing issue is gone once I disable a wireless driver from Device Manager for both machines.Other than that, I don't have any problem. Noise level is fine to me.So only problem is wireless network adapter. If you want to use WIFI network, then you may need to purchase other network card.
