A Better Life with Steem - Growing our Own Garden

Hello Steemit World!

It's been almost a year since the pandemic started. We were all told to stay at home. One thing our family did while at home, was start our own vegetable garden. We started planting April 2020. We don't have a lot of space and we don't have soil to plant on. We bought garden soil and started our own container garden. We used plastic bottles and other recyclable matters.

Our biodegradable kitchen scraps goes to our garden. Since then, we have harvest. It may not be much but we got some fresh produce from our very own urban garden. It gives me a happy feeling that we can actually grow our own food on the available space we have in our own homes.

These are lemon and kalamansi. The seeds from these plants were from our kitchen scraps. :)

This is our bell pepper plant with flowers. Ready to produce fruit.

Pechay Seedlings. Ready for transplanting.

There's a lot of things we can do while at home. Starting a vegetable garden is one, if space allows. Let's do something productive.
