Hi All,
Another winner last night as both teams scored in the Melbourne derby, although followers narrowly missing out on the first half going over 1.5 goals at a whopping $2.75. City hit the post late in the first half following Victory's early opening goal, which is what we had anticipated.
Below : Dutchman Leroy George sealed the winner in last nights Melbourne Derby.
Today @gio6 is back with more A-League action this time it's a juicy top of the table clash between Sydney FC (1st) and the standout Newcastle Jets (2nd), who despite finishing bottom of the pile last season are the closest team to the record breaking Sydney FC this term.
The Teams
Both high scoring teams, averaging over 2 goals per game in the A-league this season, Sydney in particular full of high quality talent with the likes of Bobo (21 goals) and Mierzejewski (12 goals). For Newcastle, Andrew Nabout has bagged 9 this season, while Roy O'Donavan and Dimitri Petratos have netted 7 times.
Below : Bobo and Brosque, two of Sydney FC's most dangerous expected to combine tonight.
Defensively both teams have been superb at the back, with Sydney conceding a misley 15 goals in 21 games so far, whereas Newcastle conceding at just over a goal a game. With this game shaping up to be a possible grand final prelude, expect both teams to be taking this one seriously.
Prediction
Conditions in Newcastle are almost perfect, light winds, and around 26 degrees. Given the amount of attacking talent on the park, and the high scoring nature of both teams, the over 1.5 first half goals at $2.60 looks to be the value bet here. Take it.
Regards,
