My brother's keeper

In the year 2011,Shola,my friend of 4 years lost his dad in the early hours of January 15th.He felt very bad about this,he is the only child of his parents.
By March,his father was buried and there is this sad part where his mom couldn't attend due to the fact that as at the time of burial,his mom was battling abdominal cancer.Did I remember to mention earlier,that he was jobless at that point and so he was sad that he couldn't do as much as he would love to do for his dad's burial.
Bam!!!!! In July, same year,he got a job and it was as if he got the job to pay for drugs,tests,diapers,etc for his sick mom.On the 15th of February 2012,Shola's mom died in his arms,after he confessed to her that he'll be ok and that she could go ahead and REST
Shola was married and have been separated from his ex for about 3 years as at the time all these were happening ,so he was dating another lady.He got a divorce in March,same year and started planning their low-key but classy wedding.
Two weeks before the set wedding date,31st of August to be precise,he got a call from a friend of ours that his wedding had been cancelled.Ha! Why?! How?! Those were the questions we kept asking.
He tried to recover from this shock and went back to work,after taking two weeks off ,only to discover a lot of thefts have been carried out in his absence and being the most superior in that branch,he got laid off the day after he resumed,on the grounds that he didn't put his house in order before going on break🙄
