The Gita in a blockchain. That has not been done by anyone. I will try to put all verses with the original Sanskrit lyrics and strong translation of Prabhupada in the Steem blockchain. On the battlefield of Kurukshetra, Arjuna was a great chariot fighter. In these two verses is further shown who were in the war and who had the leadership.

Chapter One

Observing the Armies on the Battlefield of Kuruksetra

SANSKRIT TEXT 6

yudhamanyus ca vikranta
uttamaujas ca viryavan
saubhadro draupadeyas ca
sarva eva maha-rathah

sanskrit tekst6

TRANSLATION

There are the mighty Yudhamanyu, the very powerful Uttamauja, the son of Subhadra and the sons of Draupadi. All these warriors are great chariot fighters.

SHORT EXPLANATION

Only powerful knights and powerful warriors are mentioned here. No mention is made of weaknesses.

SANSKRIT TEXT 7

asmakam tu visista ye
tan nibodha dvijottama
nayaka mama sainyasya
samjnartham tan bravimi te

sanskrit tekst 7

TRANSLATION

O best of the brahmanas, for your information, let me tell you about the captains who are especially qualified to lead my military force.

SHORT EXPLANATION

A Brahmana is from another Vedic caste then a Kshatriya. In Vedic times the Brahmanas were the advisors of the knights. The two other castes are Vaishya and Shudra. Respectively engaging in commercial activity and working as semi-skilled and unskilled laborers.

When I read the verses in the Bhagavad Gita, I saw that Srila Prabhupada did not make a purport of these two verses. Apparently noting philosophically interesting going on.

About the Bhagavad Gita

Bhagavad Gita literally means "Song of the Lord". The Mahabharata and the Bhagavad Gita are two books from Indian history. Mahabharata is the name of the war that is being fought between the Kauravas and the Pandavas. Kauravas are the symbol of negative and the Pandavas are the symbol of the positive. The book is a conversation between Krishna and Arjuna. This dialogue sets out three ways in which man can achieve salvation of this earthly life. These roads are: karma yoga, bhakti yoga and gyan yoga. Bhagavad Gita is the essence of the Vedas and Upanishads and 5,000 + years old.

Note

There are many translations and as many interpretations of the verses.
I use the translation by Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada from the Sanskrit to the Englisch.
Prabhupada is the founder acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON)

I lived in a Hare Krishna ashram for three years and know this book quite well. There were Sanskrit verses that I knew from my mind but that's worn out. More of my posts on Vaishnavism.

Very nice. Just see Kali is hiding in the "bad" money. Now Krishna is becoming visible in the "block chain" money.

Hehehe.
Bad and good money=both energy of Krishna...
We all live in Kali-yuga under the influence of Maya.
Krsna-chain :-)
Bolo Bolo

I really enjoy the idea that these stories will be eternalized in the blockchain.

Thanks for sharing, I have always been interested in the Mahabarata war, the Gita and the Vedas. I just didn't have an idea where to start. This could be exactly the introduction I need.

I will keep reading your posts about the Gita and we might all learn something new.

That's great Erik.
The Gita is part of Mahabharata.
Ramayana and Mahabharata are the basic books of vedic culture
Then there are the Purana's, Upanishads the Rig Veda etc
Later comes the Srimad Bhagavatam (13 cantos)
Have a good one :-)
