According to vedic scriptures, universe has existed for 155.522 trillion year and this is just in the current Cycle of creation and annihilatiation. Before the cycle there were countries other cycle and after this cycle which will end in 155.518 trillion years time. The cycle of creation and annihilation is based on the life of brahma, the engineer of the Universe. At the begining of each day of Brahma,he creates everything and then of each day of brahma there is partial annihilation Each day(12 hours) of Brahma is 4.32 billion year.Brahma lives for 311 trillion and 40 billion years, after this time there is complete annihiation of this universe and the current Brahma dies.

Vedas Say that thousands of brahmas have passed away! In other words, this is not the first time universe has been created. This is 155 trillion years old-1000’s of Brahmas means - 10002155 trillion year of creations have passed. The thoery of creation of universe as per Bhagwat geeta:there are millions of Universes with millions of planets,All Universes have life, are closed,of diiferent size and properties. The whole material creation with millions of universes constitute just quarter of creation.
