Everybody has their values.
Everybody has their ideology, their bias, their point of view and their opinion.
Many people are not that open to other people's opinion.
And rarely do I see people challenge their own bias.
I might be one of them.
But as a wise man once said,
It is important to draw wisdom from different places. If you take it from only one place it become rigid and stale.
I try to adhere to this piece of wisdom as much as possible.
Now from first glance, the biggest echo chambers are those from the mainstream media.
But after having been a bit of a news junky for a while,
I think there are also huge echo chambers in the alternative media.
More than I would have thought when I just started getting into alternative media.
A few examples I can make,
I did spread out my news sources quite far.
From mainstream media to alternative, leftwing, centrist, and rightwing media.
Here are some of the people on youtube that I'm subbed to.
WeAreChange
Tim pool
Sargon of akkad
Stefan Molyneux
Seculartalk
Jimmy Dore
Shaun
Ron paul
Besides youtubers, I also read the metro newspaper sometimes, Russia Today, and watch our very own mainstream news here on TV.
All these channels have their own core following.
And all of them are Echo Chambers to an extent.
Even when some of these youtubers tried to break that echo-chamber.
For example Tim Pool, has ones done video's together with people from WeAreChange.
But their fan bases hate eachother.
When I look at the communities from many of these people,
each and everyone of these have very narrowminded people in it.
And lets not get started on Russia Today´s comment section. It seems overan with paid trolls.
I never imagined there could be fanboyism amongst news critics or journalists.
And I do think it also has alot to do with confirmation bias.
So It is Important that we, no matter what we think is true,
We should challenge our own bias, and we shouldn't think
that just because we don't like one of these sources, that challenges
our bias, that everything he or she has to say is pure bogus.
I know from experience how it feels to find a certain
article or video is not worth watching because it challenges a point of view.
Wich might aswell be true, but you get the point.
In the end we are all ignorant, and all I know is that I know nothing.
Hope this article was interesting to you.
I'm not sure if many people are aware or consider these type of things,
Lots of health and positivity
I became aware of bias when I was a young university student. I studied History and had to write many essays arguing my point of view on a historical event. In order to do this, I had to read a wide range of material by different authors, who each had their own slant on the Event. I had to use my common sense to see which combination of material available to me made the most sense.
I use the same approach towards the media. If there is an Event I am interested in learning more about, I will try to read/view all the opinions in order to form my own opinion. There is no one source I trust.
I think it is also important to be open to changing your opinion when new information comes to light. Many people are so reluctant to change their minds!

I love having my mind changed, because then I have been exposed to interesting information!
