S.O.A.P. Week 2

Hello everybody, welcome back to the second week of S.O.A.P. journaling. Sorry, I didn't post this three days ago I had prior plans that kept me from posting this week's blog. I do hope that you have as much fun reading this post as I did writing it. Now let us begin.

Step One: Scripture

This week we will be working on Ephesians. Ephesians 2:8-9 states "8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - 9 not by works, so that no one can boast."

Step Two: Observation

In these verses, we read that we have been saved through our own faith. Being saved is a gift of God that you only get if you believe. Nobody can lay claim or boast about this either because it is a true gift from God.​

Step Three: Application

We can apply this to our lives b knowing that if we believe in God we will be saved. Also, we can remember that we or other people should try to say that they made it or own it. We can not boast about it to others either saying that we are going to Heaven and other people aren't.

Step Four: Prayer

A simple prayer can be used for this such as "Dear God, please help me remember each day that you gave up your only son so that we could come to heaven and live with you. And also please help me remember to not boast or lay claim about anything that is not mine. Amen"
