The manna in the Bible: You nourished your people with food of angels and furnished them bread from heaven. Wisdom 16:20

The Book of Wisdom in the Bible tells how the wisdom of God was manifested during the preparations for departure in the country of Egypt and throughout the exodus of the Israelites to the land of Canaan guided by the prophet Moses. And among the phenomena created by this invisible and eternal wisdom, the book highlights the fiery hail, that punished Pharaoh and his people, which is described in the Book of Exodus as the seventh plague; and the manna, a bread that according to the Book of Exodus came down from heaven, that was offered to the Israelites for their survival in the desert.
And with this, the author of the book wanted to explain how fools are punished and those who fear God are helped because two are the spiritual ways of man. Wisdom is not intended to inflict suffering on man, but rather to teach and instruct, but when men deviate from divine designs this wisdom acts as a correction so that men understand the sovereignty of God in the universe. And just as the hail destroyed crops in Egypt and caused a great famine, the manna nourished and gave life to a multitude.
In this way the wise man, author of the book, probably King Solomon, expressed himself about the seventh plague:
"Your hand no one can escape.
For the wicked who refused to know you
were punished by the might of your arm,
were pursued by unusual rains and hailstorms and unremitting downpours,
and were consumed by fire" Wisdom 16:15-16.
And about the manna, the author also referred:
"Instead of this, you nourished your people with food of angels
and furnished them bread from heaven, ready to hand, untoiled-for,
endowed with all delights and conforming to every taste.
For this substance of yours revealed your sweetness toward your children,
and serving the desire of the one who received it,
was changed to whatever flavor each one wished" Wisdom 16:20-21.
With the description of these events the author taught how wisdom instructs, provides for men, and calls her children to blessedness.
