God doesn’t need us to fix or change anything. He doesn’t want us to dig ditches with our own two hands or build arks and other watertight ships by hand. These are not our jobs, his loving purpose for us is something entirely different; for he “calls us to do good works.” These include all acts of love, justice and mercy that benefit those around us. God wants the world to know his love more than anything else.
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” ~Philippians 4:8
