I encourage you to read, in its entirety, Joe Biden’s letter, issued today, to the Rules and Bylaws Committee of the Democratic National Committee.

https://democrats.org/news/president-bidens-letter-to-the-dncs-rules-and-bylaws-committee-on-the-presidential-nominating-process/

I find so many things wrong with this letter, but I’ll just mention a couple of them now:

A) The letter calls on the Democratic Party “to rid the nominating process” of caucuses. Why? Caucuses, the most participatory form of decision-making in the electoral process, are deemed “anti-participatory” by Biden.

B) Biden appears to equate “voters of color” with “working class Americans” in the letter’s second paragraph. Isn’t this a counter-factual libel? Is it not true that millions of “Black, Brown and Asian American[s]” are members of the middle class? And is it not also true that millions of whites are “working class Americans”? Yet Biden writes:

“1) We must ensure that VOTERS OF COLOR have a voice in choosing our nominee much earlier in the process and throughout the entire early window. As I said in February 2020, you cannot be the Democratic nominee and win a general election unless you have overwhelming support from voters of color – and that includes Black, Brown and Asian American & Pacific Islander voters. You should not be the Democratic nominee and win a general election unless you show WORKING CLASS AMERICANS that you will fight for them and their families.” [CAPITALIZATION added.]
