Karine Jean-Pierre ought to be fired from her job as the President’s Press Secretary. She deserves to be fired.

Why? Because she represents the President of the United States, and, in that role, she must be able to communicate with the people of the United States – all the people – not just with Democrats, not just with liberals, and not just with Biden’s base.

Here is what she said today, in a televised exchange with CNN’s Don Lemon. And, remember, she is NOT speaking with Lemon as a private citizen. She is speaking as President Biden’s representative to the media and, through the media, to the American people:

“What we are seeing from Republicans, and what we have seen from Republicans these past several years, is that they are attacking our democracy. They are taking away our freedom. And they are trying to put on the chopping block Medicare and Social Security. That’s what we are seeing. And it’s being done, if you look at the Republican Party, it’s being done by this element, this MAGA element of the Republican Party. And that’s what we are trying to prevent….”

Let’s not forget where Jean-Pierre comes from – and I don’t mean the Caribbean. I mean MoveOn.org, a rabidly radical, anti-Republican, anti-conservative and even anti-moderate organization which, over the years, has repeatedly demonstrated a very loose grasp of facts and a great willingness to misrepresent anyone and anything it disagrees with. Jean-Pierre was MoveOn.org’s “Senior Advisor & National Spokeswoman for 2016 Elections” and remained with MoveOn.org until 2019. MoveOn.org’s absolute disdain for Republicans lives on in the attitude and answers of Biden’s press secretary.

(If you want to know where MoveOn.org stands on one of today’s hot-button issues, forgiveness of student loans, just go to its website, where you will find this pronouncement on its home page:

“Tell President Biden that he must take the next step and cancel student debt for all.”
https://front.moveon.org/

Cancel ALL student debt!? Is that wise? Is it prudent? What would that say to all the people who spent years paying off their student loans? And what does it say about student loans in the future?)
