Since early age my Big Boy - my other half has been very interested in all electronics! When grown-ups got computer games, lego, buzz or bikes to play with, my hubby is playing with electronics! I have evicted him to the loft and that is where his magic happens on a baby changing table! And yes - there was no other surface good enough to use! 😆
Now, this is not something he does for work! It is a hobby and his toys! In the real world, he works as a programmer. 💻
So far, he has posted a video on youtube about automating a lamp from Ikea. It was originally bought for £50 and during the process gone up to about £200. Few parts were damaged and had to be replaced. But this gives an insight into the Big Boys Toys!
He has also written two posts on Instructables, which were a big hit and attracted a lot of interest.
Unfortunately, he doesn't have much time to play with his toys nowadays, because life gets in the way! But I know for sure that there is another project coming up to automate a loft ladder!

@rimicane, thanks for the entry. love the photo, btw my hubby is an electronics engineer, you dont want to know what our garage looks like, the car has never seen the inside of it! that should explain it all! hahaha I can relate so well.
