Introduction to my photographs

in bikes •  8 years ago  (edited)

I take a lot of photos of bikes, people at bike rallies, bike nights and other biker related events. I also take loads of pics of icebergs, seabirds, cetaceans and all manner of marine stuff . I've taken a few photos of bands over the years, especially Hawkwind. And a fair bit of wildlife as well.

Hi Mike
Good to see you here.
You will soon get the hang of this and do take part in the #steemitphotochallenge games. This is very popular and great to get known.
It's all about posting interesting stuff with good titles and good photos. The photos you will need to host atm om a site like photobucket or Imgur and the direct link posted within your post.
Use the TAGs on the right-hand side to get around quickly.
Also just ask me or Michelle Gent

Hey Mike! As Trev (@s0u1) just said... host the pics on imgur.com, click the image you want to use and copy the Direct Link into your post for it to show up :)

I have photos on Flickr, Facebook, Photobox, Viewbug, Instagram and now I need to use Imgur? I've tried linking to a pic on one of the above, and it's come out as a UFO

I guess or photobucket. At the moment, Steemit doesn't host pictures. I believe that function is coming, but for now, the 'Direct Link' needs to be copied and pasted in for the pic to appear here.

You photograph UFOs???

I try not to, but sometimes it's unavoidable

Welcome to Steemit! The photo challenge going on right now, until Tuesday, is about Transporation. So you got here just in time! : ) Here's the post that explains the challenge: here. Good luck!

How do you enter a competition; I don't see a button for it?

In the comment that I made, click on the word "here" that is in blue (right before Good luck). It will take you to the post that says how to enter. You enter by making one, two, or three posts and using the hashtags they require. The rules are toward the bottom of that post. Hope that helps!

Playing devil's advocate really - I guessed that I had to makes posts, but to be honest if the intention is to draw people here from Facebook I think easily found FAQs on these things are needed - if this takes off you could be constantly answering the same questions
