Superman may be powerful, but he can't end hunger. Or homelessness. Or poverty, generally. And not just because he's not real.
I've often thought that the best superhero would be similar in powers to Jesus-- capable of feeding huge numbers of people out of nowhere and curing any disease or malady. That might be boring compared to burning holes in things with your eyes, but it's a heck of a lot more useful in terms of actually helping humanity.
And these may not be issues that billionaires can solve outright...but it would sure be nice to see them earnestly TRY.
Imagine if the world's billionaires got together and formed a superhero league, to solve these problems and give each other a solid pat on the back while doing so, because apparently their egos are a Very Big Deal. Heck, they could squirt champagne at each other for all I care. Just do the thing, boys.
(Not that there aren't female billionaires-- just seven times more men than women. But hey, absolutely no reason to exclude them from the League of Billionaire Superheroes. Hmm, LOBS...maybe a better acronym could be found...I'll workshop it.)
