Apple has been extremely cautious in their approval of applications to the iOS App Store. So far the only wallets and trading apps that have won Apple’s coveted approval have been those that only cover the big currencies (BTC, ETH, LTC).
Try submitting an application for approval that deals with any other cryptocurrencies and you’re likely to get rejected.
This is why some programs like the native iOS Shapeshift app only allow the user to trade 5 currencies, while the website Shapeshift.io has dozens.
Screenshot of the limited functionality of the Shapeshift iOS app:
Binance has released an iOS application that is able to be sideloaded from their website. At this address:
https://www.binance.com/ios-install.html
After installing the app from the Binance website (and bypassing the iOS App Store) you will get a error message saying the app is not trusted when you try and open the app.
This is easily fixed.
Go to Settings > General > Device Management
On your device
From the next screen you can trust the Binance app and you will be able to open and use the Binance iOS app.
The app so far seems fast and responsive, has a nice interface and supports TouchID, for quick login if you want to enable it instead of using Google Authenticator for 2 factor authentication.
For a quick check on prices or trade order books, the app is much simpler and more efficient than using safari on iOS devices.
