The Binance exchange said it will suspend trading in all pairs with the Korean Won (KRW) on its peer-to-peer platform. Users of the platform are advised to complete all active trades and remove listings from display. Moreover, support for KRW translation payment channels will be discontinued and Korean language support will be removed.
Binance explains the decision as a desire "to ensure future compliance of its products and services with local laws."
This is the third Friday in a row that the exchange has imposed the new restrictions. Last week it announced it was closing the derivatives platform to Hong Kong residents, and the week before that to residents of Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands.
