The cryptocurrency exchange Binance is discussing the creation of a new division in Indonesia with the country's richest Hartono family and the state-owned telecommunications company PT Telkom Indonesia, Bloomberg reports, citing sources.
Finance is negotiating with Hartono through their owned bank PT Bank Central Asia, but may form a partnership through another related entity. PT Telkom Indonesia, in turn, is looking for opportunities to work with the largest players in the cryptocurrency and blockchain market through its venture division MDI Ventures.
It is expected that the support of local investors will allow Binance to enter a new market for itself, many residents of which do not have access to banking services. It is known that Finance owns a stake in the Indonesian crypto exchange Tokocrypto, which has planned to enter the stock exchange.
Earlier it was reported that Finance intends to return to the British market, having fulfilled the requirements of the Financial Supervision Authority (FCA).
