in bioengineering •  5 years ago

Scientists from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) have advanced a 3D bioprinting method known as FRESH (Freeform reversible embedding of suspended hydrogels) to 3D print tissue scaffolds out of collagen. This breakthrough technology is the only method, which paves the way for 3D printing of a full-sized human heart in the near future.
