Today I discovered a bird to say the least: the Cassowary.
This is a very beautiful bird that although it looks peaceful can become very dangerous ... Indeed, the helmeted Cassowary is, it seems, the most dangerous bird in the world.
It can be found in Indonesia, New Guinea and Australia.
Just like the ostrich, he does not fly. Its large size and weight would prevent it. Between 1.50 m and 1.80 m high for a weight of +/- 75 kgs.
See his paws just the claw he has on each of them is 12 cm long and can cause fatal injuries. It can run up to 50 km / h and jump to a height of 1m50!
Endangered by extinction, however, they have become more fearless in recent years, and no longer fear humans ...
The tourists would be mainly the cause, having fed them, too close. As a result, Cassowaries do not even hesitate to break into homes to get food.
So you have to be very careful when you cross them and avoid them. They are even more aggressive if they are accompanied by their young or if they feel in danger.
