This species belongs to the Tyrannidae family, therefore they are experts in catching insects in mid flight. Here in our town, El Líbano Tolima, it is very common to observe Pyrocephalus rubinus, in gardens, parks and in rural areas. Apparently this beautiful migratory species loves to enjoy the tropical climates when the American extremes are experiencing the cold of winter.
