Robin on Tree-Crotch

The Robins never come up close to the patio. They prefer to hunt for worms and the such in the grass, far enough away from the other critters (and humans) to not get disturbed.

I thought this particular one was looking really cute standing on this tree's trunk so I just settled with zooming in from a distance with my camera.

Enjoy!

It's good as a birder to be reminded that just because a bird is very common it's still worth admiring its beauty. Nice post and photo. Upvoted and resteemed by @birdersofsteem where birders find and support each other.

Well, and since Steemit has such a far reach, for some readers these birds aren't common, so there is yet more "wonder" to be spread in the familiar:) Thanks for your support, @birdersofsteem !

I started this site as as gathering place and support opportunity for birders. I post regularly as @birdbanter I'm hoping to create a community of birders on the Steemit platform where we can find and support each other. Good birding.

I'm glad you created @birdersofsteem... prior to it there was no such forum (or popular tag) for bird-related posts-- and there are many bird enthusiasts here!

This bird breeds throughout most of North America, from Alaska and Canada southward to northern Florida and Mexico.[16] While robins occasionally overwinter in the northern part of the United States and southern Canada,[12] most migrate to winter south of Canada from Florida and the Gulf Coast to central Mexico, as well as along the Pacific Coast
