On my second visit of the "Marchfeld" in the norh-eastern part of Austria this year, I was able to take several nice pictures of the bluethroat. It is one of the most beautiful birds in my opinion and also not so easy to find. There should be some places here in Austria where it lives but since now I only saw it once on one spot and on all the other spots i was unable to find it eventhough there where some pictures and description of the bird at these spots.
But I am happy that I was at least able to photograph it once, since it is a pretty seldom bird here. Next time when I will visit this place I will take an extra look for these birds and I hope I will have the luck to find it once again.
